BRC Piling & Foundations are a Melbourne based privately owned Piling Company. Our current order book and forecast pipeline of projects sees us require locally experienced Project and Site Engineers.

The role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer.

In this role you will be assisting in the design and delivery of complex and significant projects. You will work with a blue chip client base and a growing workbook of high profile projects across Melbourne and Victoria. You are a confident leader and capable manager of key stakeholder relationships, with a record of excellence in quality, safety and environmental performance management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Civil and structural engineering and project management. Development and implementation of project management plans.
  • Work to the guidelines of BRC's triple certified QSE management systems.
  • Interpretation and interrogation of drawings.
  • Knowledge and application of relevant Australian Standards.
  • Risk assessment and management.
  • Project Set Up – scope, programme, method and budget.
  • Sequencing and staging development and approvals.
  • Accurate cost tracking and production tracking according to budget.
  • Documentation development - specification review and quality assurance.
  • Client and key stakeholder engagement. Management of project related subcontractors, suppliers and/or consultants
  • Liaison with Site Supervisor/Foreman
  • Procurement and purchasing, including contract management for all projects.
  • Estimate and variation development, including man hours, costs and quantities.
  • Planning, progress monitoring and reporting, including audits and/or inspections.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QSE management systems.

To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:

ESSENTIAL

  • Relevant construction related qualifications including tertiary degrees in engineering and construction management.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
  • Passion for people and their safety.
  • Permanent residency.
  • Drivers Licence and Vehicle
  • Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
  • High level decision making and problem-solving skills

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in piling fleet
  • Piling estimation processes
  • Proven capacity to multi-task.
  • High level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
