Mechanical Engineer

Melbourne, VIC | Full-time, ongoing | $80,000–$95,000 + super

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team on major healthcare, construction, and data centre projects in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and services.

Contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems and equipment to improve efficiency and reliability.

  • Review engineering designs and technical specifications prepared by consultants to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and project requirements.
  • Conduct commissioning, validation, and performance testing of mechanical systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical issues during construction and operational phases.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to specification.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant post-graduate mechanical engineering experience in construction, building services, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and Australian Standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must have Australian work rights for this position.
