Looking for a role that offers more? This Lead Educator/2IC position combines hands-on teaching with operational responsibility. You'll lead your room and be a Nominated Supervisor when needed - giving you exposure to management without leaving the classroom behind.

About Your Role

As Lead Educator, you will:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality educational programs aligned with EYLF and QKLG
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the community
  • Create inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environments that foster belonging and development
  • Guide, mentor, and support educators to deliver best practice

As 2IC, you will:

  • Act as Responsible Person, ensuring compliance with NQF, legislation, and Uniting policies
  • Support the Director in daily operations and step into the role when required
  • Assist with mentoring and developing educators to achieve quality outcomes
  • Promote and embed child-safe practices, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
About You
  • Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of NQF, EYLF, and National Regulations
  • Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
  • A passion for leading teams and supporting children to thrive
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
