About Your Role

As Lead Educator, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality educational programs aligned with the EYLF and QKLG.
  • Build strong, positive and respectful relationships with children, families and the community.
  • Create inclusive, safe and engaging learning environments that foster belonging and development.
  • Guide, mentor and support educators to deliver best practice in early childhood education.

As 2IC, you will:

  • Act as Responsible Person, ensuring compliance with the NQF, legislation and Uniting policies.
  • Support the Director in the daily operations of the service, stepping into the role when required.
  • Assist with mentoring and developing educators to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Support community engagement, partnerships, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and embed child-safe practices, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children.

Requirements

About You:

  • Diploma (or higher) in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Deep understanding of the NQF, EYLF, and National Regulations
  • Current Blue Card, First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
  • A passion for leading teams and supporting children to thrive
  • Solid communication and relationship-building skills with families, children, and team members
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications
  • Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
