As a Project Manager at DB Schenker, you'll be based at our Hoxton Park logistics facility, leading the proactive day-to-day management and deployment of key operational initiatives. You'll apply your expertise to drive performance enhancement, manage resources, and ensure seamless execution of projects aligned with business goals.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Operational Excellence: Lead initiatives focused on productivity improvement, error reduction, and continuous improvement programs.
- Resource Management: Oversee labour and equipment planning to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Strategic Projects: Manage site setups and closures, ensuring compliance with business-mandated processes and timelines.
- Cost & Benefit Oversight: Monitor operating costs and benefits to ensure financial alignment with project goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure commitment and drive successful project outcomes.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects, preferably within the Oil & Gas or logistics sectors (minimum 5 years)
- Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
- Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and freight forwarding systems (PROCARS, TANGO)
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, or a related discipline (MBA preferred)
- Sound understanding of international freight operations (airline and ocean freight), customs requirements, and cargo documentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, communicate effectively, and implement sustainable change across complex environments
