Upper South Creek Network Project - Supporting Western Sydney's Growth

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Assist with the financial management and oversight of the Joint Venture (JV) bank account.
  • Manage reconciliation of JV invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review, prepare, and submit payment claims in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Review, prepare, and submit JV invoices to Sydney Water in line with agreed processes.
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to support forecasting and commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with JV financial governance, delegations, and approval processes.

Your key qualities:

  • Relevant tertiary degree (Accounting or Business) with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a civil construction environment
  • Commercial acumen with proven ability to present financial information and provide recommendations to senior management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modelling, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP and job costing systems such as Viewpoint (or similar)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
