- Full time, fixed-term role at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde, until 31 December 2026

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to work closely with cross-functional teams within the Student 360 program (S360) and stakeholders to drive and facilitate Agile practices, ensuring the teams understand and adhere to Agile and Scrum principles and practices to deliver high-value student facing solutions efficiently and effectively.
The Scrum Master role within S360 will work closely with Program/Project Managers, Product Owners, stakeholders, and team members, engaging in daily interactions to maintain a clear vision, ensure transparency, and foster a high-performing, collaborative environment focused on innovation and user outcomes. The Scrum Master will also coach program/project teams, proactively identify and remove obstacles, help the teams to optimise their workflow, and drive collaboration and continuous improvement.
The Program
Digital Transformation is one of the six fundamental commitments of the Macquarie University Operating Plan: to embrace emerging technologies to better connect, engage, and collaborate. The core focus of the University's digital transformation strategy is enabling the objectives of Students First through five key focus areas, seeking to drive excellent experiences and outcomes in every dimension of students' interactions with the University.
The Student 360 Program delivers a student CRM (Salesforce) platform that will realise our ambitions for end-to-end student engagement and service delivery, and allow the University to:
Provide a unified, 360-degree view of each student that will enhance our ability to engage with them (including privacy protections and controls);
Support the transformation of business processes, providing identification of opportunities for improved services to students and support service delivery;
Enable context-specific services and personalisation to successfully support students throughout their journey;
Provide a contemporary technology platform that can evolve with the changing needs and aspirations of the University and to truly connect with our students as individuals;
Gain insights and analytics across the whole student journey, to provide better metrics and inform improvements of University services and experience; and
Replace and decommission legacy systems.
About You
You will be a self-starting individual with excellent work organisation, time management skills and ability to work under pressure. You will have strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and be able to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
You will enjoy working in a dynamic environment, applying a methodical and consultative approach in your work, and be motivated to deliver work outputs that are of a consistently high quality.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software development environment.
Experience working within a complex, enterprise environment and across multiple projects within a program of work.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Scrum and Agile frameworks including ceremonies, roles, and artefacts of Scrum.
Extensive experience with Jira for tracking sprints, backlogs, and team velocity.
The ability to prepare and present actionable reports to support transparency and data-driven decision-making within the Agile environment.
Expertise in guiding discussions, resolving conflicts, and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams.
Experience in coaching teams and stakeholders in Agile best practices and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal) with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and internal/external stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
Highly organised with strong planning and multi-tasking skills to manage competing demands.
Ability to present to a wide range of audiences.
Previous experience delivering a CRM platform implementation, specifically Salesforce is Highly Desirable.
