About Us

Bright Community Organization is a registered non-profit dedicated to empowering, uniting, and supporting diverse communities across Victoria. In 2025, we proudly organized the Ramadan Night Market in Dandenong — a vibrant cultural celebration that attracted thousands of attendees, featured over 80 local stalls, food vendors, performances, and community-led initiatives.

Building on that success, we are excited to return bigger and better in 2026. To make this vision a reality, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of the Ramadan Night Market 2026.

Role Summary

The Event Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the Ramadan Night Market 2026. This includes vendor engagement, stakeholder coordination, marketing oversight, logistics, compliance, and delivering a safe, inclusive, and culturally rich experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and deliver the Ramadan Night Market 2026 from concept to execution.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, event budgets, and reporting.
  • Source, liaise with, and manage stallholders, food vendors, entertainers, and sponsors.
  • Collaborate with local councils, partners, emergency services, and regulatory bodies to ensure all permits, insurances, and compliance measures are in place.
  • Lead event staffing, volunteer recruitment, and scheduling.
  • Oversee event marketing campaigns across social media, print, and community channels.
  • Ensure safety, accessibility, and inclusivity across all event elements.
  • Evaluate the success of the event and prepare a post-event report with recommendations.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in event management, preferably community or cultural events.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of community engagement and cultural sensitivities related to Ramadan.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends leading up to and during the event.
  • Experience working in or with non-profit/community organizations (preferred).
  • Current driver's license and access to transport (preferred).
