Coal Augering Services (CAS), established in 2003, is Australia's only highwall auger mining contractor, who uses unique coal mining equipment to recover coal reserves in open cut mines. CAS is seeking an Auger Support Crew member to work in the Bowen Basin. Location: Central Qld (Bowen Basin)

Description of Duties:

  • Operate Loader in a production environment.
  • Perform duties on the pit floor supporting the Auger.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance activities, servicing, breakdowns and machine compliance requirements.
  • Pre-start equipment inspections, cleaning, greasing & fuelling of equipment.
  • Roster is day shift only 7on, 7off.
  • Accommodation and meals provided whilst on site.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
  • Good understanding of mine site Compliance and Health & Safety Standards.
  • Previous production experience and mechanical background is highly regarded.
  • Wheel Loader essential and Excavator experience with relevant competency highly regarded.
  • Preferably live local or have the ability to drive in and out to site.

Minimum Requisite Pre-Employment Competencies:

  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Current Standard 11 Surface Induction
  • RIIMPO304E Conduct wheel loader operations
  • RIIMPO301E Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations (Highly Regarded)
  • Open Driver's Licence
