The Role

A position has become available for experienced Boilermakers to join our high performing team at the Vulcan Mine complex, located in the Bowen Basin approximately 45km from Dysart. The role sits within our Maintenance Department and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Roster:

The position is offered on a 7/7 roster, DIDO or based in Dysart, Central QLD with accommodation and meals provided if not living locally.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Steel fabrication, welding and maintenance works;
• Repair and overhaul of excavator buckets and truck bodies;
• Repair and overhaul of High Wall Miner push beams;
• Design, quoting and ordering of required equipment consumables;
• Maintenance, repair, monitoring and management of company assets both fixed and mobile;
• Breakdown response and ad-hoc tasks as required;
• Assist civil and construction teams as required;
• Carry out tasks as directed and on occasion supervise other works occurring;
• Manage time and task priorities;
• Proactively engage on safety and health requirements;
• Comply with and maintain environmental, safety and health, and organisational standards and requirements;
• All other duties as required by the company from time to time.

About the Candidate

We are looking for qualified Boilermakers who can work autonomously and actively manage their own projects and priorities. This role specifically requires the following:

• 3+ years previous Boilermaker
• Trade Certificate;
• Valid DL's;
• Proof of right to work in Australia;
• Commitment to Safety.
• Current STD 11 would be highly regarded.

Other Requirements

Successful candidates:

• May be required to complete background screening which may include a criminal check and validation of qualifications.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
