Coal Augering Services (CAS), established in 2003, is Australia's only highwall auger mining contractor, who uses unique coal mining equipment to recover coal reserves in open cut mines. CAS is seeking EOI for Production Supervisors to work in the Bowen Basin. Description of Duties:

  • To comply with and act in accordance with the safety and health management system
  • Client liaison
  • Direction of the work force in production, compliance & maintenance activities
  • Hands on maintenance, diagnosing and mechanical repairs
  • Reporting, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc…
  • Filing and record keeping of all documents
  • Be able to implement and apply the risk management process
  • Roster is currently 7 days on, 7 days off – day shift only
  • Accommodation and meals provided whilst on site

Preferable Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience as a Production Supervisor on a Coal Mine
  • Trade Mechanical background (or proven high mechanical skills & knowledge)
  • Experience with gas detectors and gas management would be highly regarded
  • Small work group experience, willingness to jump in and help the team out when required with excellent communication and team building skills
  • Live local or be located close enough to drive in and out to site

Minimum Requisite Pre-Employment Competencies:

  • Open Queensland Driver's Licence
  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Current Standard 11 Qld Coal Mining Surface Induction
  • Current S123 (G1 G8 G9) Mine Site Safety Supervisor
  • Current G2 Carry out the Risk Management Process
  • Mechanical Trade
  • RIIMPO304E Conduct Wheel Loader Operations

Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
