Refundid is at an inflection point - scaling internationally, launching new products, and features. This is an opportunity to shape how new revenue models, product features, and money movements are achieved and flow through our P&L and balance sheet.

The Role

We are seeking a
hands-on Finance Manager
to build and scale Refundid's finance function globally. This is a senior role for someone who thrives in high-growth, high-transaction environments and wants to combine classic financial discipline with fintech and software innovation.

You'll work across three core areas:

1. Accounting Infrastructure

  • Lead the selection, setup, and ongoing development of scalable accounting systems across multiple entities and currencies.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure seamless integrations with Refundid's internal systems (returns platform, instant refund rails, payment processors).
  • Build automated reconciliation processes to handle high transaction volumes.

2. Finance Function & Reporting

  • Establish and manage a finance function that delivers accurate, timely monthly reporting to management and the board.
  • Implement robust financial controls, cashflow management, reconciliation and accounts receivables processes.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling - particularly around
    new product features
    and how they impact revenue recognition, P&L, and cash movements.

3. Tax Compliance

  • Manage relationships with external Australian, U.S., and international tax advisors.
  • Oversee GST, sales tax, and corporate tax filings.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Refundid's tax position.

Must Haves

  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' finance & accounting experience (helpful if experience in or advising fintech, or high-volume transaction businesses)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing/optimising complex accounting software and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable building processes from scratch.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, product, and leadership teams.

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency environments.
  • Exposure to fintech revenue models.
  • Prior experience with U.S. and Australian tax compliance.
