Hamilton Island is currently seeking a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Procurement Officer to join our growing Strategic Procurement team, based at Shute Harbour. As Procurement Officer, you'll support the Strategic Procurement Manager across all facets of the end-to-end procurement and tendering process. You'll help manage communications with stakeholders, track key contract dates, support commercial decision-making, and ensure that our procurement operations run efficiently, compliantly, and with a service-first mindset.

Where You'll Make an ImpactAssist with the development and execution of strategic procurement and tendering processesManage stakeholder communication and relationship building across departments and external suppliersSupport contract management activities, including renewals, milestones, and complianceExtract and analyse procurement data to produce actionable reports and insightsMonitor project timelines and proactively follow up on deadlines and key actionsSolve procurement-related challenges using commercial acumen and sound judgmentSupport the negotiation of commercial terms where requiredWhat We're Looking For

You're a proactive and analytical team player with a solid understanding of procurement operations. You take pride in your accuracy, are a confident communicator, and bring a service-first approach to internal and external stakeholder management.

To Be Successful, You Will Need

Essential:

Previous experience in a similar procurement, purchasing, or contract support roleStrong communication and time management skillsHigh attention to detail and data accuracyAbility to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Desirable:

Understanding of financial concepts and project budgetingExperience in procurement and tendering processesStrong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)Legal or contract background (advantageous)About Hamilton Island
