Mahinita Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Indian Cuisine Cook / Chef to join our team at Multiaward Winning RCA Finalist best Indian 2025 in regional NSW restuaurant Overlander Indian Restaurant in Orange, NSW. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian dishes for our customers in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Preparing and cooking a diverse range of traditional Indian cuisine with experience in curries & Tandoori dishes.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to optimise workflow and efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
  • Providing exceptional customer service and responding to special dietary requirements
  • Assist in Menu development & implementation
  • Ability to supervise, inspire & motivate other team members
  • Involved with cost control through effective practices manage & Monitor financial budgets, food, wages & other expenses

What we're looking for

  • Experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook/ Chef
  • Formal culinary training or qualification
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking techniques
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
  • Passion for Indian cuisine and a desire to provide an exceptional dining experience
