About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced full-time cook and chef to join our team at The garden tandoori' in Goolwa, SA. As a Permanent Full Time Cook & Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking delicious Indian cuisine in our busy restaurant. This is a full-time position, with competitive pay and excellent benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing high-quality Indian dishes to our exacting standards
  • Ensuring all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Assisting with menu planning and development
  • Training and supervising kitchen staff as required
  • Ordering and managing stock and inventory
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in an Indian restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
  • Excellent food preparation and presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
