The Role

We're looking for experienced Automation Maintenance Electricians to join our team, in a casual capacity, to support various Melbourne manufacturers.

This will be for casual shift coverage for Day/Afternoon/Night shifts

  • $60 per hour plus casual loading

You choose when and where you work or how many days a week you work

May suit semi-retired maintenance electricians


Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical fault-finding and breakdown repairs on automated machinery
  • Preventative maintenance on motors, drives, conveyors, and packaging lines
  • Modifications, installation and assembly of new and existing machinery
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
  • Work with PLC systems, instrumentation and safety control systems
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
  • Support factory performance and equipment reliability

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A current A-Grade Electrical Licence (Victoria)
  • 5+ years experience as an Industrial Electrician
  • 2+ years experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
  • Experience with high-speed packaging machinery (vertical baggers, flow wrappers, etc.)
  • Experience with PLCs, VSDs, and automation systems
  • A proactive and safety-conscious mindset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to thrive under pressure and work independently
  • Experience or willingness to work in meat processing or abattoir environments is essential
