The Role

  • Leads and manages the Land Use Planning Branch
  • Participates in strategic and operational planning to shape and implement the Departments objectives
  • Proactively identifies internal and external threats and opportunities, and takes steps to shape strategies, regulation and government decisions to ensure the Branch's strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Negotiates and collaborates with other government agencies and industry to support the delivery of State land use objectivesCommunicating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represents the Department in inter-departmental meetings, working groups, committees and at public forums.
  • Provides high-level advice to the Department and the Minister for Mines on land use policy and approvals
