
Principal Policy Officer

As a Principal Policy Officer you will develop and update Queensland Health budget projection models and run scenarios to estimate/project the funding and health service impacts of different policy settings. You will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic policy projects, including the development of Queensland Health's annual Budget submission and Budget papers. Additionally, you will prepare high quality written documentation in collaboration with key stakeholders - including senior executive briefings, Cabinet Budget Review Committee (CBRC) submissions, reports and correspondence.
Role fit:
- High level experience in economic and financial modelling, preferably in the health sector.
- High level skills in the use of statistical and modelling software packages and databases.
- Strong public policy analysis particularly the ability to interpret strategic meaning.
- Ability to work flexibly across teams to integrate technical and policy analysis.
