The role
As our new Senior Manager Risk Support (P&C), you'll lead the way in embedding strong risk practices across the People & Culture team, making sure our frameworks, controls, and culture all work seamlessly together. You'll partner closely with senior leaders to ensure robust risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, champion compliance, and foster a strong risk culture.

Position Accountabilities
In this role you will:
- Champion the execution and continuous improvement of our risk management framework across P&C.
- Partner with divisional leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and compliance risks.
- Oversee risk reporting, control testing, and incident management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Manage the preparation and response for internal audits and regulatory engagements.
- Build strong relationships across Line 1, 2 and 3 risk teams, acting as the main liaison point for P&C.
- Drive a proactive risk culture through education, advice, and capability uplift.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and forums.
- Support the Group Chief People Officer and leadership team in maintaining a strong compliance posture and transparent reporting.
What Experience You'll Bring
- Extensive experience in risk, governance, or compliance within a complex or regulated environment (ideally 5+ years).
- It is advantageous to have supported or worked as a member of a Human Resources function previously and bring an understanding of what HR delivers.
- Solid understanding of risk frameworks, including the Three Lines of Defence model.
- Strong grasp of APRA regulations (especially CPS 220) and other relevant compliance standards.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and build trust with senior stakeholders.
- Sharp analytical and communication skills, you can turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- A strategic, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree required and post graduate certifications highly desirable.
Location –Toowong
