Senior Manager, Cyber, Technology & Data Risk
As the Senior Manager, Cyber, Technology and Data Risk, you support the Head of Operational Risk to lead the Operational Risk team and ensure that Great Southern Bank has a robust risk management framework. You will have solid experience in delivering high quality risk advice regarding Cyber, Technology and Data risks and controls including resilience in accordance with CPS230 Operational Risk Management.

This position is open to candidates located in Brisbane or Sydney, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Targeted risk oversight and challenge across Cyber, Technology and Data risks and controls to support alignment with strategy, business outcomes and compliance with APRA Prudential Standards.This includes oversight of control design and implementation, risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for APRA notification/consultation.
  • Second Line risk representative on relevant technology forums, management risk committees, project working groups and steering committees.
  • Second line challenge and oversight on technology governance frameworks and cyber resiliency.
  • Analysis of risk profiles, incident and issue data, assessment of Key Risk Indicators and preparation of insights for fact-based reporting on Operational Risk performance across the bank.
  • Support the development of key risk management framework artefacts.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the Bank as a Cyber, Technology and Data subject matter expert including oversight, review and challenge of technology projects and resilience activities.

Do things differently with us
To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 10+ years' experience in either 1LoD, 2LoD or 3LoD risk management and technology roles, with expertise in technology and data architecture, governance and change management and the controls required for compliance with Prudential Standards including CPS230 Operational Risk Management, CPS234 Information Security, CPG235 Managing Data Risk and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience in dealing with operational, technology or project risk in a financial or related institution, or in a consultancy/audit capacity, at a management level.
  • Experience in managing and influencing multi-faceted stakeholders (internal and external) in order to meet competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels to clearly communicate good risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong people management, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
