We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager.

The Finance Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across the business. As an integral member of the senior management team, this position is responsible for overseeing all financial functions including management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, compliance, and cash flow management in a manufacturing environment.

Working closely with operations and production teams, the Finance Manager ensures that financial practices support continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives, while upholding corporate governance and regulatory requirements. This role provides financial insights to guide investment and capital expenditure decisions, supports ERP and system improvements, and strengthens financial controls tailored to the complexities of manufacturing.

This role is based at the Borg's facility in Altona, Vic

What you will do:

Reporting to the CEO and CFO, the role includes:

1. Providing operational leadership across the finance team, both local and overseas to execute all accounts and finance department operations.

2. Reporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial results as per SwitzGroup templates along with preparation of monthly review presentation for the Board.

3. Analysing business cost and profit drivers and reporting findings in the guidance to the CEO and CFO, senior managers and stakeholders.

4. Preparation and analysis of all business unit financial statements (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows), summarise key data and investigate variances and trends to facilitate decision-making.

5. Maintain and review product costing models and work with operations to find efficiencies in production, procurement and logistics.

6. Involvement in IT Projects, specifically new system implementation and support on charts of accounts and SOP development to strengthen internal controls and processes.

7. Manage and direct the deliverables and administration oversight of Payroll.

What we are looking for:

You have:

• a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

• 5 years' experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Financial or Management Accountant

• CA/CPA/IPA qualified

• Proven ability to progress multiple projects at a time, whilst maintaining sharp attention to detail.

• Experience with MS Dynamics, SAGE, JD Edwards, XERO, Employment Hero
