We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Safety Manager to join our team at TFH Hire Services, based in Kingston. In this role, you will take the lead in developing, implementing, and maintaining a company-wide Safety Management System, ensuring adherence to ISO 45001 and 9001 Safety and Quality Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety management systems in accordance with ISO 45001 standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Provide training and support to staff on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all safety certifications and accreditations are up to date.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics and continuously improve safety processes.
  • Manage Worker Compensation and Return to Work
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with managers and employees across various branches.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • In-depth knowledge of maintaining and managing Safety Management Systems to comply with Occupational Health & Safety System (ISO
  • Knowledge in Chain of Responsibility (COR) and National Heavy Vehicle (NHVAS)
  • Experience with SharePoint.
  • Strong technical experience in managing compliance programs.
  • Experience with Workcover and Return to Work (multi state knowledge will be an advantage)
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and computer skills.
  • Solid knowledge of the transport and or hire industry would be advantageous

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Diploma in Quality Auditing.
  • Quality Systems Auditor training (advantageous).
  • Training and Assessing (advantageous)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
