Animal Management Officer

Maxima are seeking an experienced Animal Management Officer to join their client, a Local Council based in Kingston.

You will be available to work some weekends including on-call/ after-hours work. Casual hourly pay of $42.96.

**Key Responsibilities include but not limited to**:

- Investigate alleged breaches including wandering animals, excess animals, enclosure issues, pet registration, animal nuisances, property inspections etc
- Respond to reports of immediate risk to public health and safety
- Collect domestic animals contained for collection
- Gather clear, factual and impartial evidence
- Interview witnesses

**To Be Successful**:

- Current C class driver’s license
- Previous experience in a Local Government setting
- Thorough knowledge of animal husbandry, animal control and regulation
- Cert IV in Animal Management highly regarded
- Strong investigative skills
- Excellent communication skills
