About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Spiral Duct Australia, a leading manufacturer of spiral ductwork and associated products, as an Internal/External Business Development representative. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities and building strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients across Victoria. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will play a key role in contributing to the company's growth and success.
What you'll be doing
- Prospecting and generating new business leads through outbound sales activities, networking, and leveraging industry contacts
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Providing expert product knowledge and technical support to clients
- Responding to tenders and preparing proposals to win new business
- Attending industry events and trade shows to represent the company and identify new opportunities
- Providing regular progress reports and contributing to the overall sales strategy
What we're looking for
- Proven track record in a business development or sales role, preferably within the HVAC or construction industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
- Technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge
- Proactive and results-driven approach, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as engineering or business, is highly desirable
