Hours per fortnight

73.50 hours per fortnight - flexible options available.

Duties
  • Provide a reception service to the public in person and by phone and screen and direct calls as necessary.
  • Undertake a wide range of clerical and administrative duties including typing/audio typing of correspondence, preparing appeal documents, opening, sorting and distribution of mail, accepting and receipting of notices of appeal and monies and balance monies monthly.
  • Assist members upon arrival, by providing security passes, Wi-Fi passwords and directing them to hearing rooms.
  • Act as court clerk for General Division, set up hearing rooms, co-ordinate attendance of parties, record proceedings and maintain and mark exhibits including calling and swearing witnesses.
  • Liaise with appellants, lawyers, planners and other professionals as required.
  • Provide administrative support in other areas of the Tribunal as required.
  • Order stationary for the Tribunal.
  • Undertake any additional duties within the expected range of work of the position.
Desirable Requirements
  • A current driver's licence

  1. Pre-employment (National Police Record) checks for: Arson and fire setting, violent crimes and crimes against the person, sex-related offences, drug and alcohol related offences, crimes involving dishonesty, deception and/or conspiracy, making false declarations, malicious damage and destruction to property, serious traffic offences, crimes against public order or relating to the Administration of Law and Justice, Executive or the Legislative Power.
  2. Disciplinary action in previous employment.
