The Role:
Reporting to a highly commercial and inspiring General Manager People and Culture, you will have accountability for the delivery of Talent Acquisition. This is a broad role with lots to get involved in and would suit someone who is energized by people and variety in a role.
- Lead Talent Acquisition: Drive the full recruitment lifecycle across a diverse, multi-site organisation.
- Partner with Leaders: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align hiring with business priorities.
- Streamline Processes: Optimise recruitment systems for efficiency, candidate experience, and performance insights.
- Champion Diversity: Embed inclusive hiring practices and build diverse talent pipelines.

About you:
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Talent Acquisition Leader who thrives on influencing and building connections at every level. You'll bring proven experience from complex industrial environments and a genuine passion for driving a business forward with impact.
Your background includes leading people with confidence, streamlining processes, running recruitment campaigns, and ideally some experience with visa requirements and mobility. You are skilled in workforce optimisation and tuned in to the unique challenges of regional and remote operations. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who brings energy to the team – positive, resilient, fun, and ready to make a real difference.
Requirements:
- An experienced candidate looking to bring great skills and experience or we are open to an experienced Senior recruiter or manager looking to make a move into a TAM role.
- Proven experience in managing recruitment campaigns – PALM scheme experience is highly desirable.
- Innovative thinking and solutions-focused skills in complex, multisite industrial businesses.
- Experience working closely with operational leaders and building trusting relationships through a genuine and down-to-earth approach.
Benefits:
As the relaxed capital of tropical North Queensland, Townsville offers a welcoming community, a warm climate, and natural wonders like the Great Barrier Reef and Magnetic Island right on your doorstep. With relocation support available, making the move – and starting your next chapter – can happen easily.
At Wilmar, employees can take advantage of a number of benefits, from bonus schemes and company superannuation programs to novated leases for motor vehicles and discounts from local businesses. They also provide a range of travel benefits through relationships with travel partners and a great team and HR Leader
