This leadership role plays a key part in ensuring our vehicles are safe, reliable, and road-ready — and that every customer enjoys a seamless travel experience.

About the Role

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Fleet Manager is responsible for the efficient management, maintenance, and performance of the branch's vehicle fleet. You'll lead a small operations and maintenance team, ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional vehicle quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, organise, and control the operational and administrative functions of the vehicle fleet.

Oversee vehicle acquisition, allocation, servicing, and de-fleet processes.

Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, registration, and insurance standards.

Manage maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventive servicing programs.

Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and insurance agents to optimise fleet efficiency.

Monitor vehicle utilisation, costs, and performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Maintain accurate fleet records and systems, including RCM and Employment Hero.

Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the fleet and operations team.

Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety and company standards.

Support branch management in delivering strong customer service and operational excellence.

About You

You're a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You have strong mechanical or operational knowledge, great communication skills, and a proven ability to keep a busy fleet running smoothly.

You'll bring:

Minimum 3 years' experience in fleet management, vehicle rental, or transport operations.

3 years' experience in a leadership or people management role.

Strong understanding of fleet maintenance, servicing, and safety compliance.

Experience using fleet management systems such as RCM or similar.

Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage budgets, maintenance schedules, and supplier relationships.

High attention to detail with a focus on quality and operational performance.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Full valid driver's licence (essential).

Minimum qualification: High school completion or equivalent.

Secondary language skills (such as Portuguese, Spanish, German, or Mandarin) are an advantage in our diverse customer environment.
