About the role

P&N Group are seeking to grow our Business Banking team, with an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced Relationship Manager to join our team in WA. This role is based in our modern, collaborative Perth CBD office, and will be eligible for hybrid working arrangements.

The Relationship Manager role is responsible for expanding the organisation's Business Banking portfolio, with an emphasis on specialist property development, property investment and commercial lending with a focus on providing exceptional service.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, Business Banking WA, the successful candidate will be adept at building trusted and profitable relationships with Commercial and Property clients through strong networking skills and ties to the community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieve agreed portfolio growth outcomes, with an emphasis on commercial, property development and investment lending
  • Contribute to the achievement of the Business Banking strategy by delivering individual and team growth and lending objectives while optimising credit quality and client service
  • Maintain CRM and portfolio data at a high standard in line with organizational policy
  • Monitor trends within financial markets and the changing needs of clients to assist with the development of banking solutions e.g., new products, services, and channels with an emphasis on business, commercial banking, and property lending
  • Develop suitable business solutions to meet client needs, in line with Risk Appetite Statement, Credit Policy and regulatory standards
  • Ensure business lending enquiries are dealt with efficiently and competently through effective and structured client relationship management, and that retention of clients is achieved through provision of excellent customer service
  • Review established guidelines, identify, and make appropriate recommendations for improvement opportunities that will improve efficiencies or effectiveness of processes as required
  • Initiate and maintain business development activities with a view to building, maintaining and managing a robust transaction pipeline. (Including sourcing and developing new business leads and connections and leveraging third party relationship channels and referrals to grow the Business Banking portfolio and revenues)
  • Actively participate in community, networking and promotion events as required to build and maintain relationships with existing and potential members, and third-party introducers
  • Be a brand ambassador and uphold the brand promise and service standards
  • Build profile as an agile and boutique business and property banking provider within defined industry and risk parameters
  • Management responsibility and mentoring of an Assistant Relationship Manager

What will you bring?

  • Commercial, Property and specialised Property lending experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Commercial banking practices including credit skills
  • Ability to undertake complex financial analysis and credit assessment
  • Highly motivated and goal orientated
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Tertiary Qualifications in business, commercial or finance are desirable.
  • Current Driver's Licence
