ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Leading Hand to join our team at Shaw Landscape Group in Wollongong, NSW. This is a full-time position that will see you play a key role in delivering high-quality landscaping projects for our diverse client base.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Supervising a small team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards
  • Overseeing all aspects of on-site landscape construction projects including site preparation, setting out and ordering materials
  • Managing the build of retaining walls, decks, paving, concreting, planting, turfing and mulching
  • Working with a range of stakeholders including Clients, Subcontractors, Project Managers, Certifiers and Landscape Architects
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to more junior team members to develop their skills
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols
  • Collaborating with our Project Manager to resolve any issues that arise and keep projects on track
  • Maintaining records and documentation for each project

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a landscape construction Leading Hand or similar supervisory role
  • Proven ability to lead a team to deliver high-quality work
  • Strong technical knowledge of landscape construction techniques and materials
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • A relevant qualification in Landscape Construction and Horticulture
  • Current driver's licence
