The Role

We're looking for a Commis Chef who is eager to learn, develop skills, and support our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in cooking who wants to progress in a professional, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and cooking across different sections of the kitchen
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety
• Support senior chefs during service to ensure smooth operations
• Take direction and training from the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef
• Show initiative, enthusiasm, and a willingness to grow within the team

What We're Looking For

• Some kitchen experience (restaurant, café, or hotel) is preferred but not essential
• Passion for food, learning, and building a career in hospitality
• A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A team player with good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 38 per week
