• Base salary $94,455–$107,216 (HEO6) + 17% superannuation

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Compliance and Verification Officer to join the Student Placements team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health. This is a pivotal role providing operational and administrative support to ensure over 7,000 students meet the compliance requirements necessary for clinical and professional placements.

You will play a key role in maintaining educational reporting and verification systems, ensuring students are supported through every step of their compliance journey. Your ability to manage sensitive and complex student cases including those with police records or communicable diseases will be essential to your success in this role.

This position is based at the University of Sydney's Camperdown campus, with a requirement to be on-site three days per week and the option for hybrid working arrangements for the remaining two days, subject to operational needs.

Your key responsibilities will be to

  • support academic and professional staff across the Faculty of Medicine and Health to ensure students meet verification and compliance requirements for placements
  • manage the coordination of verification documentation and reporting processes across multiple programs
  • respond to student enquiries regarding compliance status and negotiate tailored solutions for complex cases
  • review and improve processes related to student verification and placement readiness
  • maintain accurate and timely records on university systems and databases
  • assist with education reporting and public information production
  • contribute to special projects and undertake additional administrative duties as required.

  • two to four years' experience in education administration, preferably within a high-volume, client-focused environment
  • experience working with learning management systems and complex student records
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in managing competing priorities
  • demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • high-level organisation and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • a commitment to service excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement
  • sound understanding of compliance, regulatory, and reporting requirements in a tertiary education or healthcare environment
  • well-versed in Microsoft Office 365, with an emphasis on Excel functionality and features.
