About the Role

A school of Good Samaritan Education, Rosebank College, seeks expressions of interest for the Events Manager position. Reporting to the Principal through the Communications and Engagement Manager, the Events Manager is responsible for leading the planning, delivery, and execution of all major College-wide events.

This role, commencing in January 2026, is responsible for ensuring that every event reflects Rosebank College's mission, values, and strategic priorities while fostering meaningful engagement with the College community and external stakeholders. By mutual agreement between the successful candidate and the College, an earlier start in Term 4, 2025, may be considered.

This role collaborates with all staff within the College, including students and external stakeholders, media outlets, event groups, parents and carers, students, and alumni groups. It is employed full-time (48 weeks per year) and permanently.

About You

As the Events Manager, you will meet the following

Essential Criteria:

  • A relevant university degree in Events, Communications, Marketing, Business, or equivalent relevant experience with an applicable qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with demonstrated success in event management and coordination.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the College community.
  • High-level writing, editing, and proofing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to deliver events and projects on time and within budget.
  • Competence and confidence in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems, databases, email platforms, and social media.
  • Experience in strategic marketing, communications, and project management within a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a small team with a hands-on, flexible approach, including taking on additional responsibilities as required.
  • Willingness to lead and support College events outside of regular hours, as required.
  • Demonstrated discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality in professional practice.
  • Valid driver's licence to support the operational and logistical requirements of the role.
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Commitment to child safeguarding principles and always acting in the best interests of Rosebank College.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within the education or tertiary sector.
