Job Summary:
The Process and Training Specialist will play a pivotal role in developing, standardizing, and maintaining operational processes and training programs across departments. This role involves creating clear Work Instructions (WIs) and Job Instructions (JIs), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering effective On-the-Job Training (OJT) to enhance team capabilities and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to foster process alignment, operational excellence, and a strong culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Process Documentation & Standardization

  • Develop, document, and standardize Work Instructions (WIs) and Job Instructions (JIs) ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for all relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with process owners and subject matter experts to update and maintain documentation reflecting current best practices and operational changes.

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify process inefficiencies and areas for improvement through data analysis and frontline observations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to diagnose problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform regular process confirmations and audits to ensure compliance with established SOPs, standards, and internal controls.

Continuous Improvement Support

  • Lead and support teams in continuous improvement (CI) projects using lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and others to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions and workshops to encourage employee participation in process enhancements.

Training Program Management

  • Design, organize, and deliver structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs tailored for new hires and existing associates to ensure comprehensive skill development.
  • Maintain accurate training records, monitor training completion status, and analyze effectiveness to inform ongoing improvements.
  • Plan and conduct refresher training sessions triggered by process gaps, audit findings, or changes in operational procedures.

Capability Assessment & Readiness

  • Conduct regular assessments of associate capability to ensure compliance with role-specific requirements and operational standards.
  • Work with supervisors and managers to develop individual or team improvement plans based on assessment outcomes.

Safety & Risk Mitigation

  • Partner closely with the safety team to promote a safe working environment and integrate safety practices into daily operations.
  • Support the implementation of risk mitigation measures during training sessions and process changes to minimize hazards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Operations, Quality, Safety, HR, and Continuous Improvement to ensure process alignment and drive organizational objectives.
  • Act as a liaison to facilitate communication and coordination of process and training activities across teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in process improvement, training, or operations support roles within manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis).
  • Proven experience in developing clear and detailed process documentation (WIs, JIs, SOPs).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training programs and assess training impact.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across multiple levels and functions.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or equivalent training tracking tools.
  • Commitment to promoting safety and quality standards in all activities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with risk management and safety compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with warehouse or manufacturing floor operations.
