Avida is Australia's largest motorhome manufacturer. We have been manufacturing quality Recreational Vehicles for over 60 years. Our modern manufacturing facility is located at Emu Plains, in Western Sydney and we have a dealer sales network throughout Australia and New Zealand.
We are seeking to appoint a meticulous, experienced and enthusiastic Quality Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting time in our business as we continue to improve our LEAN practices, and work towards World Class Manufacturing.
About the Opportunity

We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to join our team in Emu Plains.
You will be working for an industry leader that is very proud to manufacture locally. A fabulous opportunity for you to lead these critical functions with your innovative, results driven style.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will play a pivotal role by ensuring all our Recreational Vehicles meet the required quality standard and recommending improvements to our designs and production processes.
This is a hands-on role and significant time is spent standing as well as moving in and out of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
· Advise and assist leaders and workers on quality policy, processes, and requirements.
· Influence and drive forward the agenda for delivering innovative yet sustainable improvements in Quality.
· Use of LEAN principles to implement continuous improvement initiatives;
· Further develop our quality standards to enhance the productivity of our production line by reducing rework.
· Proactively lead and coach others in safety risk assessments informing the business of risks and recommended actions;
· In delivering continuous improvement activities you will foster a team approach while enhancing our Quality culture.
· Establish and implement procedures for business risk management and emergencies response; and
· Develop and format high quality documents, presentation material, training material, and internal reports for stakeholders.
Professional Qualifications/Experience:
The successful candidate for this role will need to possess the following key skills and experience:
· Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality Control management role with within a manufacturing environment;
· Managed a team;
· LEAN and continuous improvement background;
· Analysis and problem solving must be a strength;
· Advanced computer skills; and
· Good commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.

· Great communication and interpersonal skills;
· Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve;
· Capable of building strong working relationships and influencing internal teams;

· Highly proficient in the use of MS Office suite of products, incl. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
