We work in partnership with Traditional Owners, listening to and learning from the customs and cultures that came before us.Together we can heal and protect the bush, now and into the future.About the roleReporting to the Reserve Manager, the Field Officer is responsible for fulfilling the responsibilities associated with this position. The Field Officer will work with the Reserve Manager to ensure the day-to-day management of the Reserve meets the goals of the Reserve Management Plan and Bush Heritage. Reserve-based staff will manage and work in collaboration with non-reserve staff to contribute to the operation of the reserve.Specifically, it is expected that the incumbent will have relevant work experience and hold required certification, undertake competency assessments and can demonstrate experience or will complete the following formal training over a month period:AQF 3 Chemical AccreditationChainsaw certificateFirearms licenseFirst aid certificate4WD skillsFire crew member trainingTractor operation and other machinery skills such as slasher, back blade.Other skills/training as appropriate such as use of hand tools, basic fabrication, infrastructure maintenance, track maintenance, basic mechanics, and fencing.Accommodation available on reserve.
