About The OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a
Technical Officer
to join our facility based at
Harts Range based facility in NT.
You will be responsible for the ongoing support, maintenance, and development of cutting-edge defence systems in a dynamic operational environment. As a Technical Officer, you'll work as part of a high-performing team, operating and maintaining an OTHR (Over the Horizon Radar) on a FIFO shift rotation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support for radar and associated systems in line with the Maintenance Management Plan.
- Perform planned and operational-level maintenance, fault reporting, and defect rectification on JORN radar systems.
- Fulfil all duties as an Authorised Tradesperson under the AMC framework.
- Support equipment performance at the JORN site, reporting to the Maintenance Lead via Senior Technical Officers.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Lead or their delegate.
About YOU
- Proven experience maintaining high-power RF and/or digital control systems.
- Skilled in one or more technical disciplines: RF, digital, analogue, control systems, or computing.
- Qualified Technician with a Certificate III or equivalent in Electronics, Computer Systems, or a related field.
- Eligible to obtain relevant State licences or qualifications (e.g. Restricted Electrical Licence).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work effectively in a defence operational environment.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations
