About the company/role:

Our client is an alcoholic beverage manufacturer based in Sydney's Western Suburbs. They are looking for a Technical Officer to join their team on a casual basis. This is a full-time role, working 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. The role is projected until at least January and there are permanent opportunities.

Duties:

  • Calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation across 4 labs
  • Perform maintenance and training for analytical instrumentation
  • Sample administration using internal systems
  • Liaising with external labs and coordinating samples to be sent
  • Carrying out chemical and microbial testing of alcoholic beverage samples
  • Working closely with production on sample testing

Skills/experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in the beverage industry is highly desirable
  • Experience is a food/ beverage manufacturing lab is essential
  • Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate analytical instrumentation
  • Knowledge of internal systems such as SAP
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
