RPC Diesel and Hydraulics have an excellent opportunity for a Trade's Assistant to join our family owned and operated business based in Townsville.

This role is ideal for someone mature, dependable, and keen to contribute their practical skills while being an important part of the team

Key responsibilities include:

· Assist fitters with the maintenance, repairs, and servicing of vehicles & equipment.

· Carry out basic mechanical tasks

· Ordering and picking up parts when required.

· Perform other general workshop duties as required to support the team

· Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

· Maintain a clean and tidy workshop/yard.

The successful applicant will be required to have the following:

· Have experience working in a mechanical industry

· Manual drivers licence (essential) HR (desirable)

· Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

· A can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to high quality standards

· Efficient communication skills to liaise with clients and team members

· Computer skills incl experience with electronic purchase orders and timesheets
