About the role

Driveline Services is seeking a reliable Trades Assistant for our Townsville, QLD branch. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting our skilled trades workers with a variety of tasks, including driveshaft repair, assembly, manufacturing, servicing and balancing for light vehicles through to heavy machinery
  • Assisting with repairs to heavy axle, gearbox and brake packs
  • Performing basic repairs and maintenance on automotive components and equipment
  • Ensuring the workshop and tools are clean, organised and well-maintained
  • Providing general support to the wider team as required
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in a trades assistant or similar support role in the automotive industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Reliable with a good work ethic
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A solid commitment to safety and a track record of following procedures
