LIGHT VEHICLE AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC- Junior Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic candidate who has the passion for working with cars, SUVs and 4WDs and high performance vehicles; is eager to learn more about the industry whilst completing their apprenticeship. This opportunity is viewed as a long-term employment opportunity as our client is willing to impart their years of industry knowledge and experience as part of the training process.

To be considered for the role you MUST possess the following:

  • Reside in Townsville
  • Be well presented and punctual at all times
  • Certificate II in Automotive is encouraged
  • Possess a Manual drivers licence with reliable transport and good driving history
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Highly motivated and driven to be above average and excel in the trade
  • Have a genuine interest in the trade
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instruction including work place processes and procedures
  • Thrives on being part of a mechanical service team
  • Reliable with good attendance
  • Ability to work safely
  • Positive attitude with good customer service
  • Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
  • Pass a drug and alcohol test and medical exam
