About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a pivotal role in a major Retail Transformation Program at AGL. This is an opportunity to shape the future of digital, sales, marketing, billing, payments, and operations for a leading utilities provider. You'll design and communicate solution architectures that bridge legacy systems with modern platforms, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. This is a six months contract role in Melbourne CBD in a hybrid working environment.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain architecture strategy and roadmap for Retail Transformation across multiple domains.
  • Lead solution architecture design for current, transition, and target states within a complex transformation program.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate design options, trade-offs, and scalability.
  • Produce solution design specifications aligned with enterprise standards and patterns.
  • Estimate costs and assess risks to ensure solutions fit budget and operational requirements.
  • Guide delivery teams through solution vision and design alignment during implementation.
  • Provide consultative advice on technology domains, automation impacts, and strategic pathways.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Solution Architect in large-scale transformation programs.

Retail utilities domain expertise is essential.

Strong knowledge of integration, data integrity, and evolving tactical solutions into strategic ones.

Ability to navigate multiple transition states between legacy and new ecosystems.
