About Us
At EnergyAustralia, our shared purpose is clear: to lead and accelerate the clean energy transformation for all. We achieve this by making energy simple, putting customers first, and integrating their assets into our flexible energy portfolio.
Our Marketing Strategy Team is where strategy meets action. We turn big ideas into real results through smart planning, seamless coordination, and a strong focus on what matters most to our customers.
About the Role
We're looking for a Marketing Planning & Operations Lead to join our fast-moving, collaborative team. This brand-new role is all about bringing rhythm and structure to how we plan and deliver marketing across the customer journey. You'll be the connector between strategy and execution — making sure our marketing efforts are well-planned, prioritised, and resourced to hit the mark.
If you're a natural organiser, love solving complex problems, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this could be your next move.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Strategic Planning & Prioritisation: Own the intake and prioritisation of marketing work, making sure it aligns with customer needs and business goals.
- Capacity Planning: Build and manage a flexible model that balances planned work with urgent requests — keeping things smooth and efficient.
- Operational Excellence: Be the JIRA champion Use it to drive transparency, accountability, and clarity across all marketing activity.
- Customer Experience: Keep a bird's-eye view of all customer communications to make sure our brand feels consistent and awesome.
- Continuous Improvement: Always be looking for ways to improve how we plan, work, and deliver — and make things better for everyone.
About You
This is a fresh role, so you'll have the chance to shape it with your own style and strengths. We're looking for someone who understands and can navigate through the challenges of juggling regular deliverables with last-minute requests — and knows how to keep things moving.
Here's what would make you a great fit:
- Solid experience in marketing planning, operations, or similar roles (e.g. project/program coordination).
- Experience in regulated industries is a bonus.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills — you're confident managing expectations and finding common ground.
- Great communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to align cross-functional teams and senior leaders around shared plans.
- A creative, solution-focused mindset — you simplify complexity and make things happen.
- Skilled at managing competing priorities and complex workflows.
- Experience with project/portfolio tools (JIRA preferred).
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, business, or similar are a plus.
Why Us?
EnergyAustralia is a place where all employees are genuinely valued, supported, and free to be themselves — because we believe that's when we're at our best. We embrace diversity of background, experience, and perspective, and we encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, and those from the LGBTQ+ community.
Here's what you can look forward to:
- Employee discounts on electricity and gas, plus savings on major brands and products
- 20 weeks' paid parental leave – completely gender-equal.
- Energise Program – flexible working that is team-centric, enabling teams to agree and succeed together.
- Performance recognition and incentive programs – tailored to different roles and teams to reward great work throughout the year.
- Supportive leaders and a down-to-earth culture where you can be your authentic self.
- A team and organisation that truly supports hybrid working / flexible working
