The Eastern Flooring Centre is based in Blackburn and is one of Melbourne's fastest-growing flooring retailers. With a modern showroom spanning 340 m² and a product mix that represents quality, value, and style, we are well-positioned to expand even further, creating a great opportunity for the right candidate.
Our flooring installation services are Melbourne metro-wide; however, we also have the capabilities of working in the larger regional areas and supplying Australia-wide.
This role has a dual focus and will see you responsible for Showroom Management and servicing our retail client base, as well as new business development in the small to medium-sized builder market.
The core duties of this position are:
• Assisting our showroom walk-in, online, and telephone customers and converting inquiries into in-home consultations for timber flooring and window furnishing enquiries.
• Measuring and quoting from builders' plans and also within existing dwellings.
• Assisting our retail walk-in customers within the showroom and converting inquiries into in-home consultations, for timber flooring and window furnishing enquiries.
• Measuring and quoting from builders' plans and also within existing homes.
• Ordering materials from core suppliers online
• Installation scheduling and management.
Developing new business relationships with the building/construction market.
• Reviewing the market for price comparisons to ensure we remain one of the best value-for-money flooring and window furnishing outlets in Melbourne.
• Managing the day-to-dayshowroom operations.
About you
You are an experienced sales consultant with a proven sales track record of selling to end consumers and the builder market. Driven and thriving in a similar sales role, you have strong self-motivation and strive to consistently deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Proficient with CRM systems and competent in using floor planning/measuring software.
Demonstrated history of achieving sales targets with a minimum $1M annual revenue in retail or construction sales.
Personable and professional, you are a team player who works well in a team as well as independently. You are a fast learner who can present accurate product knowledge. You are adaptable, solutions-focused, and have a demonstrably strong eye for detail from a design perspective.
We are a business that enjoys what we do; therefore, we need someone who also has a passion for providing the highest level of Customer Service, whilst having a bit of fun along the way.
Must hold a valid Australian driver's licence and be legally eligible to work in Australia.
Successful candidates must pass reference checks and police background screening.

The salary package is based on experience and is open for discussion for the right candidate. We are looking for candidates with 5+ years of sales experience in a similar role. A strong commission structure will be a focus and an incentive for this dynamic position. You will have access to a company car, laptop, and phone.
