About the role
Care Connector is seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Supports Workers to join our team in Southport. There are part-time and casual opportunities to provide high-quality home and community care to individuals with disabilities. You'll be an integral part of our vision to deliver care with integrity, results with innovation and future built on wellbeing.
Position Purpose
You will be responsible for providing care to clients with spinal cord injury/acquired brain injury - assisting with personal care, outings and shopping, cooking and domestic assistance.
What you'll be doing
-Providing personalised, compassionate care to clients in their homes
-Assisting with activities of daily living such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
-Developing and implementing individualised care plans to meet each client's unique needs
-Collaborating with allied health professionals and families to ensure coordinated care
-Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
-Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Key Selection Criteria
- Experience providing caring, high quality care support to people with disability and complex health needs
- A positive attitude and responsible nature
- Demonstrated commitment to community integration and consumer participation, and commitment to HCS values.
- Excellent verbal communication and rapport building skills.
- Willingness to undertake hi-intensity care (pressure injuries, continence, bowel therapy). Full Training will be provided.
- Variety of shifts availalbe including some permanent shifts up for grabs which includes: Friday 6am to 4pm, Saturday 6am to 2pm and Sunday 6am to 2pm
What we are looking for:
- Nurses working towards or Enrolled nurse (EN) qualifications and current AHPRA registration, Minimum Cert. III in disability
- Minimum 2 years' experience in aged care, disability, or community nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and client-focused approach
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
