About the Opportunity

HYPAR is a NDIS registered support service providing Mentoring/Disability Support, Supported Independent Living (SIL), Respite/Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Psychosocial Disability Support services through community access and daily living at a pace of interaction guided by the participant.

The NDIS Program Manager provides strategic and operational oversight of both the HYPAR NDIS and HYPAR Wild programs, ensuring integrated, person-centred services that meet participant needs and comply with NDIS and organisational standards.

The NDIS Program Manager position will be based at our head office in Narangba (with the option to work out of Mansfield), but will support the team and participants throughout the Greater Brisbane region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across both the HYPAR NDIS & HYPAR Wild programs, ensuring alignment with the organisation's mission, values, and compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Lead, coach, and support Team Leaders and Program Supervisor to deliver high-quality, person-centred services that meet participant goals and organisational performance targets.
  • Oversee implementation and continuous improvement of participant plans (PBSPs, ILSPs, CPs, RPs) to ensure best-practice service delivery and outcomes.
  • Manage service-level risk, compliance, and reporting frameworks, acting as a key liaison between service delivery teams and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders (e.g. Finance, Compliance, People & Culture) to contribute to and oversee budgets, staffing models, and workforce planning.
  • Be the NDIS Notifiable person and approver for reportable incidents
  • Monitor program-level KPIs, incident trends, and quality indicators, and lead improvement initiatives in response to findings.
  • Provide formal supervision, performance management, and professional development planning for Team Leaders and Program Supervisor.
  • Develop and implement service delivery policies, procedures, and practice frameworks in collaboration with the Program Development Manager.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with participants, families, external stakeholders, and funding bodies to promote service access and program growth.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across teams, senior leaders, external agencies, and regulatory bodies.
  • Proven success in influencing positive change and resolving complex interpersonal or systemic issues.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams through values-based leadership, delegation, and coaching.
  • Deep understanding of participant experience and demonstrated capacity to influence service delivery that upholds dignity, choice, and person-led outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and lead service operations across multiple teams or programs.
  • Experience with workforce planning, resourcing, performance management, and accountability systems at a program level.
  • Ability to inspire confidence, maintain momentum during change, and create a positive culture grounded in shared purpose.
  • Experience mentoring middle managers or team leaders to strengthen leadership capacity at all levels.

You will also be required to have or be willing to obtain:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work or Psychology or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in disability or community services, with at least 2 years in a leadership or program oversight role.
  • Proven experience leading teams across multiple programs.
  • Demonstrated success in growth initiatives, stakeholder relationships, and workforce development.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS compliance, funding models, and practice standards — including incident response, restrictive practices, and person-centred planning.
  • Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training qualifications highly regarded.
