Drive Personnel is a leading service provider inside WA's Mining, infrastructure, resources, renewable energies and construction sector.

With a strong mixture of FIFO, DIDO and local works, we have ongoing Projects to see you into 2025 and beyond.

Do you have a passion and extensive experience with in the Mining resource sector on construction/projects as a QA/QC officer ?

Working on an 8/6 roster in Port Hedland , you will be responsible for contributing to an already in tune quality department supporting major projects in the busiest port location in Australia.

Your duties will include

  • Developing quality documentation
  • Weld inspections
  • Paint inspections
  • Job front inspections
  • Management control of consumables and materials
  • Handling material certs
  • Coordination and management of NDT inspections
  • Redlining drawing markups
  • Technical knowledge

About you

About You

  • Relevant qualifications in quality assurance/control, welding inspection (e.g. CSWIP 3.1 or WTIA Cert 10 or AWS/CWI) and/or procurement/vendor management or similar
  • NACE Level 2, Desirable
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) desirable
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar (Fabrication/Mechanical) quality control, inspection and/or vendor management role
  • Welding and welding inspection
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Developed negotiation skills
  • Detailed report writing skills
  • Effective time management skills
