About The Opportunity:

The Electrician is responsible for installation of cables and components to generators & switchboards, communications and control systems. When on site, is also responsible for repairing and maintaining power, lighting and dewatering equipment.

  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Read technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.

  • Physically able to lift & move items
  • Communication skills (written/interpersonal)
  • Ability to read and understand schematic drawings
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to follow instructions when given

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade certificate.
  • Grade A State Electrical Licence.
  • A minimum of 2 years post trade experience.
  • Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date.
  • Cardiopulmonary Perform Resuscitation (CPR) Training within 12 months of conclusion date.
  • Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge.
  • Experience in renewable energy field.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines to meet AS 3000.
