Join Our Team: Melbourne-Based Sales Representative Wanted

New Norfolk Rum Distillery is searching for a dynamic individual to join our team.

Based in Tasmania's Derwent Valley, we pride ourselves on crafting high-quality rums with distinctive character. We recently picked up "World's Best" awards in 3 rum categories at the World Drinks Awards 2025, and now our mission is to expand our reach and share our unique rums and spirits Australia-wide, starting in Melbourne.

This is more than a job; it's an opportunity to be part of a growing family business in an exciting and fun spirits category. We are looking for a sales representative who can connect with venues, build relationships and distribute our award-winning products.


The Role: Sales Representative (Part-Time, 1-2 Days/Week)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with Melbourne's hospitality sector, including hospitality groups, bars and bottle shops
  • Presenting our spirits, educating partners and securing new stockists
  • Identifying new market opportunities and expanding our customer base
  • Providing feedback on market trends to our team in Tasmania
  • Maintaining accurate records in our CRM system
  • Occasionally participating in events like product launches, festivals, markets and private tastings
  • Working closely with our founders (based in Tasmania and Melbourne), marketing and management teams

What We're Looking For:
  • Prior experience in beverage sales or hospitality, preferably in the spirits industry or cocktail venues
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to establish and pursue leads
  • A proven track record in sales with excellent negotiation skills
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • A genuine passion for rum and independent Australian-made beverages
  • A valid Victorian RSA and driver's license
