About the role

Better Together Community Support is seeking a Psychologist or AASW Mental Health Accredited Social Worker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families within our local community. This position is based in Atherton, 1.5 hours from Cairns, North QLD. This position can be Full time or Permanent part time employment, on negotiation.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual, family and group-based therapy and counselling sessions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic, coordinated care
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions such as cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based practices and solution-focused therapy
  • Maintain detailed client records and documentation in line with professional standards
  • Participate in continuing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices

Qualifications

  • Qualified Psychologist or AASW Mental Health Accredited Social Worker with current registration
