Atherton Tableland Air Service (ATAS) operate from the Atherton and Mareeba Aerodromes in Far North Qld, approx. 1 hours drive from Cairns. Our modern and well maintained fleet of aerial application aircraft comprise Air Tractor 802 and Thrush 510G's.
We are seeking experienced Aerial Agricultural Pilot's for our summer season from December to March.
Tasks will include:
Conducting aerial application of pesticides, fertilisers and seed in accordance with the Civil Aviation Act, regulations and related legislation.
Conducting all aircraft operations in accordance with company Operations Manual and standard operating procedures and Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Minimum requirements are as follows:
· Commercial Pilots Licence with Aerial Application Rating
· Minimum 1500 hours Turbine Ag Time
· At least 1000 hours of these in Thrush 510G
· Current AAAA's Spraysafe Accreditation and Pesticide Licence (recognised in Qld)
· Experience flying in remote and mountainous areas
· Available to commence at the beginning of December
This position is full time, 38 hours per week and only available for the period specified with no opportunity for ongoing employment. Pay will be in accordance with the Air Pilots Award 2020 as follows:
Minimum retainer of $951.40 per week plus superannuation and commission as follows:
- 8%of the charge-out price of the aircraft for spreading;
- 10%of the charge-out price of the aircraft for liquid spraying, pasture grass seeding, rice seeding, rabbit baiting and sundry activities; and
